57 Health Benefits of Going Vegan

57 Health Benefits of Going Vegan Happy hump day all! I have always been on a diet, gimic, or way of life ever since I can remember. I always felt bigger even when I was younger. I look back and think I was just a normal size. Not fat. Not skinny. Normal. I wish someone taught me self love to save me lots of money in dieting and self analysis. I have always been that girl on the quest for higher knowledge. Healthy mind. Healthy body. I will always be the one to do yoga or read the self help book. I'm okay with that. I love that about myself. I'm always transforming into something new. I love change. Every time I do transform a bit. I feel myself becoming better and better. As if I'm molding myself into the woman I always envisioned myself to be. Fast forward 20 years later... I decided to do whole30 about a few months back. I think the end of January. It was an amazing journey that led to going down a size in pants. Clearing my skin. Respecting my body more. But the best

Happy Fall 🍊🍊🍊

Happy Labor day weekend all! I hope.you have been well. I am back and sharing my little fall vignette. I added some touches of autumn to the apartment today while I had off. I used items I purchased the previous year as well as one or two newbies from T.J Maxx. I love to shop the apartment first when the seasons change to look for good items before I shop. Well I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday. Im back to work next week. My new full time hours have begun. I recently  received a promotion at work. I've been so thankful and proud.  Anyways enjoy all things fall and pumpkin spice related. Cutex Advanced Nail Polish Remover Pads Review

Image
Good afternoon all. It's a steamy one in New York. I am off today. I work the weekend, so I thought i'd do a quick review. I tried out the new Cutex Advanced Revival Nail Polish remover pads. They are absolutely amazing! I am so glad I was able to try them from Influenster (In this sample box) and Cutex. One little pad is soaked in nail polish remover that will take off both hands nail polish. No matter what color. I tried light and dark. They have a nice light scent. You can get pretty much at any drug store. Target. Etc. The best part yet is they keep your nail hydrated. It won't dry them out. Or make them chip. I will definitely be purchasing again. I give 5 coffee cups out of 5. Have you guys ever purchased them? If so thoughts? Signing off a "Well manicured" Coffee Diva

Intelligent Blends Kcups Review

Image
Hello my coffee family! T.G.I.F. I hope you all missed me. Sorry for my absence, I started an amazing new job in the city. It has taken me a little while to settle into routine again since I was out of work about a year. I couldn't be happier. It is very challenging. Exciting. Fun. Best thing is I get to be independent. I hope you are all doing really good and enjoying your summer. I have a new review for you that I had tried about a month ago. The nicest brand messaged me on Instagram to try out their coffee. Naturally I jumped at the offer to taste test coffee! Duh! The company is called Intelligent Blends. They sell all Organic K-cups at great prices. Everything is free shipping even their sampler packs! Bio-degradable K-cups. Best yet, the coffee is amazing! They offer dark roast, french roast, decaf, bold, medium, as well as some tea assortments. Cocoa and cider. The K-Cups I tried in the picture all are 5 coffee cups out of 5. Full bodied Arabica coffee blends that yo

Diy Flower Vases

Image
Hello all. Happy belated Memorial day weekend. I hope you had a great one. It was very hot here in N.Y.C. Mine was good. My husband's birthday was the 28th so we went out to eat and celebrated. I am catching up on work today. The past few weeks have been so busy I barely had time to post. I did a few cute DIY's last week. I painted the bottom of my kitchen chairs and also I made little vases out of old perfume bottles that I wasn't using anymore. They were just too pretty not to use anymore. I used Philosophy and Marc Jacobs. I had them out to display and style my shelves with. I decided to kick it up a notch and turn them into mini vases. And by kick it up a notch, I meant take out the pliers from the tool box and go to town on your perfume bottles lol. It took a little elbow grease but after the top broke I put the flowers in and they looked so cute! An easy free way to turn what you already have in your home into a new item. No money needed. Well I hope you enjoyed

Yankee Candle Sale

Image
Good morning, and happy Sunday all. I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. I am up as my husband sleeps in. He deserves it. He had to work all day yesterday. I am pretty exhausted myself. I was busy all yesterday and sore from switching up my workout. It's worth it though. I wanted to share a great sale going on now with you guys. I am a total candle lover. I buy candles pretty much anywhere. I love Yankee Candle of course. But they can be pricey. When they have their sales you can make out really good and stock up for a while. They have a summer sale going on now. Select tarts are $1. Votives. $5 small jar candles. They also offer a flat rate of $5 shipping. Any order. $100 or more is free shipping. They still have a lot of scents in stock. I looked yesterday but hurry and order fast because their stuff goes really quick! What are some of your favorite Yankee Candle scents? So many to pick. I would have to say my all time favorite is Storm watch. I love so many.

Califia Farms Better Half Review

Image
Good afternoon my coffee addicts! I hope you are having a positive day. I wanted to share a review on a new item I found recently. Califia "better half" almond/coconut milk. It's dairy, soy, gluten, and carageneen free. The unsweetened version has no added sugar. I thought it tasted really good for an almond milk version. I have struggled for months on whole30 without any avail at a good tasty almond milk.  This one has coconut so I feel it balances the almond flavor. And sweetens it a bit. Let's face it almond milk is pretty dead. Unless you are drinking one with sugar. This is a nice alternative.  It is $2.50 at your local whole foods. I think it's not bad. Real milk had become so damn expensive.  And it's unhealthy so I don't get it. This will go quick. That's the only con. I believe they sell a big bottle but I wasn't sure if I would like. Hence why I bought the small version.  I wish they sold it all over. Its not easily found. My other con. (

Synergy Organic Kombucha Review

Image
Happy Weekend Friends! I hope you are all happy and healthy. I have had a very rough past week. I haven't had one like this in a while. It was just one bad thing after another. I am glad I have my husband to always put my mood in perspective. He doesn't get as depressed as I can. I also suffer from bad anxiety. It's sad that it isn't as recognized as other conditions. A lot of people thing you "over react". Or you can just stop whatever you are feeling. If only they knew that at times you have no control over it. I try and reel myself in from letting it get worst. I usually am a hopeful positive person. But if I get down, I get horribly down. When I am feeling anxious or sad I usually look for projects to do. Or I "nest" a lot. It makes me feel better and keeps my mind occupied. I decided to cleanmy balcony this morning after coffee. The weather finally has turned warm here in N.Y.C. It's dark and gloomy but I am enjoying it. I Rearranged m

Ikea's New VIKTIGT Collection

Image
T.G.I.G everyone! Oh hey it's raining again wow what a shocker lol. I have been running around all morning and now I am in the process of doing loads of laundry. When I was sick the other week I guess it piled up a bit. I like to get everything done before the weekend so I can rest as well as be able to start the next week on a positive note. If you are like me and you love Ikea, I'm sure every summer you look forward to the coveted Ikea cataloge. It usually is hundreds of pages which stuns it's readers with the most beautiful styled rooms you can imagine. I get so many good ideas and inspiration from their books. I started collecting them a few years back.Even months or years after I receive the magazine I keep re-reading to get good tips on how to decorate. I continually am in awe of Ikea's ability to bring such design at an affordable price. I have my eye on so many pieces for the summer time. I really need to get overhead lighting. That's the one area

GLAMGLOW "Gravitymud" Firming Mask Review

Image
Ciao! How are you all doing this week? Sorry I was sick the past week so I have been a bit M.I.A. Now it's already May! That is crazy to me lol. So many birthday's and holidays this month. It's a peaceful rainy Wednesday here in N.Y.C. I was in the city all day yesterday. It felt good to be in a different area then where I used to work. I'm always networking and connecting for work. Never a dull moment!I have so many reviews and posts to catch up on, I wanted to start with an empty sample I just finished. Glamglow gravity mud firming mask. I've been using this for the past two weeks or so. I used it once a week as instructed. It is a peel off mask which usually I find annoying to be honest. This mask however left my skin in really good condition after using. You have to put a decent layer of the mask on or else it will not peel off properly. The first time I used it I applied a thin amount and it was hard to get off. From then on I used more and it work

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum Review

Image
Happy Thursday all. It's a beautiful day here in N.Y.C. It's going to be a busy one but I have to do my bike workout everyday. I love it. So that means I have time for a review 😀. I reviewed Estee Lauder before, and I am blown away by their products.  Mainly because whatever they say the product does. It actually does! This serum was another sample I was using. I know it is geared for more mature skin such as wrinkles. I wanted to still try. I've seen it in every major magazine for years. I was glad I did. I had such amazing results after only one use. My skin was clearer. My acne scars faded a bit. I woke up and wasn't red and irritated. It just overall completely refreshes your skin. I put very little on which luckily a little goes a long way. The serum scent is nothing harsh.  Not as nice smelling as the other Estee Lauder products. But I didn't care since it works so well. It is expensive at about $68 for the 1 oz and $92 for the largest. I will say it is wor

Pukka Love Tea Review

Image
It's a beautiful Wednesday here in N.Y.C. I am currently cycling as I'm blogging. I love to multi task 😊. I hope you are all enjoying a lovely day and maybe would like to relax with a nice cup of tea 🍵. You guys know I'm obsessed with coffee but i am also a big tea lover. All flavors and blends. I switch to tea usually in the late afternoon and or at night time. My favorite is any earl grey variety. Jasmine. Chamomile. All green tea types. This Pukka tea I have never tried. It was in the organic section at my local supermarket and I thought to try. I love to try new products all the time.  This is called "love". It's a heart warming blend. It has organic rose, lavender and chamomile.  I love when teas aren't too overwhelming.  It has a light coloring as well as the flavor. You don't taste too much of either. No bitterness. It's caffeine free so good to drink before bed. I think the whole ritual of tea itself is so calming and restorative.  It&#

Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Review

Image
Happy Tuesday all. Hope you had a great weekend and you are ready for a new review. My weekend was nice. Went to the mall with my hubby on Saturday and finally found an amazing lady at Sephora to help me. I will be reviewing the foundation I purchased later in the week.  My sister gave me a bunch of Estee Lauder samples and I was currently using one of their cleansers. Perfectly clean to be exact. Let me just start off by saying it is so damn hard to find a good cleanser. You never know what will work. I've had cheap ones turn out good. Epensive ones might stink and vice a versa. I typically have nornal/oily skin. I am acne prone which is why most cleansers don't work on me. I use plain anti-bacterial soap at times because it kills bacteria on the skin and keeps acne at bay. Downside is it can be drying and striping. I currently am between samples and cleansers. I picked up an all natural Pacifica cleanser at Target a few weeks back and it burned my eyes so bad while using I ha

Lancome Teint 24hr Foundation Review

Image
Good afternoon guys. It's Thursday and that means it's time for throw back Thursday.  I am throwing it back to the time when customer service meant something when you walked into a store. People greeted you and tried to actively help you. They were pleasant.  As well as educated in their field. Those were the days right??? Not anymore people. If you're a weekly reader of my blog (thank you) you know my distaste for Sephora and their workers. This past weekend was no different.  Another location.  No one greeted me. No one helped me. One worker just stared at herself in the mirror. Let me just state this: I never usually need help. I am a makeup artist and probably know more than the girls working there. But there is 100 different shades for the Lancome Teint foundation.(P.S this isn't about every worker. I know there are some very nice and extremely talented artists that work there. This is about the bad ones). Anyways, I thought to try something different and splurge

Cooks Essentials Air Fryer Review

Image
Hey guys I'm expecting! !! April fools 😂😂. It's Friday and I hope everyone enjoyed their day and didn't get pranked too much lol. I ordered a cooks essentials air fryer on qvc as an early birthday present.  I saw it on t.v and at first was hesitant. I don't fry anything. Especially now with whole30, and I don't eat the breaded snacks they were showing. But then they proved me wrong by showing meat, steak, potatoes, etc. I have been cooking up such a storm lately. Potatoes being one of them since it's my only "bread" I can eat on whole30.  This looked like it would be helpful.  When I got the machine I was so excited. The Color was adorable. It was the cutest machine. I'm a sucker for a gadget lol. I love this!! I have no negative feedback what so ever. It is a healrhy way to cook. It does what they say. You can get crunchy potatoes.  I have made a few different types and look forward to trying meat and veggies.  Nothing ever sticks. You don

Sephora/Urban Outfitters Haul

Image
A nice vignette of my Sephora and Urban Outfitters haul. I will be returning some stuff to a different Sephora.  The one on 14th was horrible.  I'm not even going to go there. It's unfortunate that one of the most prestigious beauty companies in the world have people working in them who belong in a McDonald's.  I've been to many locations in Manhattan that I would not shop at again. Very sad. Especially when you are spending a lot of money.  Any who, I loved Urban Outfitters natural beauty line. Their clothes are way too west coast hippie for me. But the perfume and sprays were all organic so I was in heaven! Can't wait to go back. The one in the city is actually open 24 hours a day. I'll let you guys know when I exchange my Sephora items. I will be switching exclusive to Ulta.  Nicer people.  Signing off a "Disappointed" Coffee Diva

New Target Bistro Set

Image
Happy Tuesday all. I'm currently cycling as I'm writing lol. My birthday was Saturday so I been a but M.I.A. I wanted to catch up and share a beautiful Target Bistro Set I found for my balcony. It was part of my birthday present. I have been on the hunt for years for the perfect set. One that would be sturdy. I'm 6 flights up and it gets very windy up here. One that looked visually appealing. One that was waterproof. Rust proof. As well as comfortable chairs and a big table to eat on. I have a very big balcony. Its pretty much an extra room. Usually the sets i would find were small and flimsy. Well this one was all of those things and more. It is so comfortable.  The table is big. I can't wait to use all year long. I want to get some new lights for outside as well as a new outdoor rug. You can order online if interested.  Hope you all have been having a good March. Signing off an "older" coffee diva 😀

Garnier Whole Blends Hair Care Review

Image
Happy Thursday all. Sorry it's been so busy here this month. I hope you are all doing well. I have new reviews to catch you up on. I received samples from Crowdtap and Garnier for their new Whole Blends hair care line. There are three different varieties that I was given to try. All of them are healthy formulas with good ingredients for your hair as well as being paraben free which I love. 1)Coconut water & Vanilla Milk (Hydrating). This one was my favorite. I absolutely LOVE the scent first off. It is so good it lasts all day. The shampoo made my hair so smooth, which never ever happens using a shampoo I was shocked. Nice foaming lather but didn't feel stripped like usual. The conditioner was the perfect consistency. Not too thick and heavy, but not thin either. Definitely my hair felt nourished. Quenched. Revived. I love this combo. I am definitely buying the full size bottles. I give a 5 out of 5 coffee cups. 2) My second favorite was the Honey Treasures shampo

L'Oréal Paris Advanced Oil Hair Review

Image
Hey guys. Hope you are all enjoying a cold Thursday afternoon. I have another review for you guys courtesy of Loreal and Influenster. I received the shampoo, conditioner, and serum for free. I was really excited to try but unfortunately this one was no good for me. As you can see in my before and after the shampoo does smooth your hair. For me it was too much "oil". I first just tried the shampoo/conditioner/serum. Then without either product to produce better results but no luck. It completely weighed my hair down. So much so I barely could do anything with it styling wise. Forget about using the serum. My hair turned really greasy as the day went on. I always have had good luck with Loreal hair care products so this was a downer for me. I guess the oil was just too heavy for my hair. I will be giving this away. The shampoo literally feels like you are putting oil over your hair. There is no later. The conditioner was okay. It didn't really get my hair that smooth

Secret Outlast X-tend Review

Image
Hi guys. Another review I have is for the new Secret Outlast X-tend deodorant.  If you have a busy active lifestyle like I do, you will love this deodorant.  Keeps you protected all day. No white residue on your clothes. Solid bar. Fresh light scent. I give it 3 coffee cups out of 5. Try it out and let me know what you guys think. My only criticism is new different scents. **I received this product free for testing purposes from Crowdtap** Signing off a "dry" coffee diva ;)

Amope Pedi Perfect Wet&Dry Rechargable Foot File Review

Image
Happy Tuesday all! It's the first day of March. I can not believe that. My birthday month. My 30th birthday is on the 26th. Not sure how I feel about that one lol. It's exciting and scary at the same time. I feel like I will blink and then I'm going to be 50. I always put so much pressure on myself so I try and take it one step at a time and just be thankful I am well. I am healthy. I have accomplished a lot at my age. I am married to a wonderful man. I have a great family. And just leave it at that right. Who knows what the future holds? So one of the benefits of being a blogger, is belonging to amazing websites such as Crowdtap.com. I was able to receive a free Amope pedi perfect wet/dry rechargeable foot file to review for free. Say that ten times fast lol. I wanted to do a review because it is absolutely amazing. I will try to compose my thoughts the best I can since I am excited! Ok. First things first. It is completely easy to use. Upon un-boxing it already c

T.J Maxx Haul/Review

Image
Finally a little sun on this cold February Thursday. I hope you are all doing well. I am on day 38 of my whole30 lifestyle. I can't believe how the days and weeks have flows by. Now it just seems second hand to eat and follow the standards of eating that I do now. I'm in bed the same time every night. I'm up earlier. I work out every day or if not, I don't beat myself up about it. The mental part is the hardest. Trying to re-train your brain to think positive. It's all worth it. Knowing your body is healthy and you are doing the right thing. You are trying and working hard. I have another picture of a T.J Maxx haul I did about two weeks ago. I must be getting old because all of these pictures I could have sworn I already posted lol. Guess not. (Must take Ginko Biloba or something). Here are my reviews of the products. *I found some goodies. But I was disappointed with the makeup I purchased. I actually have them in my bag to exchange. Hopefully they let

Target Haul & Shelfies

Image
Happy hump day! Today has been another busy day. Woke up earlier to get my cardio in. Did a few projects around the house. I'm currently meal prepping potatoes and eggs for the week. Now I'm sitting to do some work and blog. I'm sleepy and those two cups of coffee with coconut milk did nothing to help! I hope you all are enjoying your day. It is dark and rainy here in N.Y.C. Soon Spring will be here before we know it so let's stay positive. I wanted to share some photos I forgot to post from two weeks back. One of my little Target haul as well as a new vignette I did on my shelf by the kitchen. I just can't get enough of these decorative boxes! I've posted them before but here they are again. I really think they are great for bookshelves. Closets. Desks. Kitchen. Anywhere really. Target has new stuff out now. Such cute items. All pastels for Spring. I love pastels. I also scored some great clearance deals on lipglosses. As well as $4 Target candles. I j

Teavana Haul & Review

Image
Happy hump day people! It's another dark and cold day here in N.Y.C. Been busy since the moment I woke up. Always grateful to have so much to do. I hope you all are enjoying your day. I wanted to share with you a purchase I made last week. My husband happened to have an extra day off which was nice. We were running all around. Then of course he wanted to go to the city to look for something. Naturally after I wondered to the nearest Teavana. I honestly love tea but have never purchased anything there. The store was small and quaint. The staff helped me pick out two tea blends that I absolutely love. The first blend was Jasmine Oolong. I love the scent of Jasmine in tea. I probably would drink any tea with Jasmine. It's color was light. It was very strong and a little bitter in my opinion. Not much is needed for steeping. The next blend I picked was Earl grey creme. The scent is also heavenly. All you smell is the Madagascar vanilla. It is great for a morning blend instea

All White Everything

Image
Hi guys! Happy Tuesday. It's dark and cold here in N.Y.C today. I am beyond tired. I got a bad headache in the middle of the night out of no where which pretty much kept me up all night:(. I was going through my phone to delete some older pics and found a goodie I forgot to share. I don't know about you guys but I love the little "bullseye" section at Target. They have the most adorable finds from $1-5 the most. I had been wanting this cake stand for the longest time but couldn't find the all white. Throughout the holiday season they only had the green/red version. I almost purchased and then spray painted but I never did. Anywhoo, I found it in the middle of an aisle. Grabbed it and ran! There was a tiny chip only you can see if you flipped the cake stand upside down. I didn't mind at all. They gave me a discount. It came out to be $2 I believe. Can't beat that. I had it in the spot here in the picture but then moved it next to my Keurig. I

Primal Kitchen Avocado Mayo Review

Image
Happy Sunday my beautiful readers! It is a sunny day here in N.Y.C. Super bowl Sunday. I'm sure this is a huge day for a lot of people (including the teams). I will be rooting for Denver.I am a N.Y Giants fan but I love the Peyton brothers. Yesterday was an interesting Saturday. I was exhausted from running around doing errands. Then I went to Marshalls to exchange some stuff. Purchased an adorable little oil mist diffuser. I have to do a review during the week. After I was back home I proceeded to go through all of my house stuff. Kitchen, closets, appliances, and clothes. I will be donating tons of stuff to the Goodwill. I am glad to help anyone in need. Now let's talk whole30 and paleo. I am still on whole30. Day 26 I believe! One of the ways I've stayed on this way of eating has been help from a few whole30 compliant ingredients. One of them being this Primal Kitchen avocado mayo. I had to order online. You can't find this mayo anywhere. Rightfully so. It is

Bath & BodyWorks Exchange Haul

Image
Hello my roses! It is the first day in a new month. It's a dark and rainy one here in N.Y.C. Today has been great. Very productive. I did a lower body cardio session in the morning. Then cleaning/errands. Now I've been working the past two hours. I am happy to say I am on whole30 Day 20. I have felt so much of a difference it's unbelievable. I lost weight. I sleep at night. My skin cleared up. I never get heartburn or have stomach issues. I just love feeding my body with the natural foods that it was meant to be nourished with. I can't way to do whole30 always :) Over the weekend it was pretty busy. My hubby had to work Saturday OT and then we headed to the mall for me to return some stuff he had gotten for me last month when I was feeling sick. I appreciated it but I didn't want him to pay full price knowing that bath and body works still had their sale going on. I was just going to return thinking the sale was over by now and I saw a whole bunch of bins with

This Week's Target Haul

Hey guys. I hope you are all safe and sound. We received tons of snow here in N.Y.C.  Dreading cleaning the car so in the meantime I will be drinking tons of coffee and catching up with you guys. Here was my latest Target haul. I need to start buying a lot of bins to organize the closets.  I'm buying little by little. I plan on doing a lot of projects in the spring time so I'd like to get a head start on things. I used that pretty box to organize some of my candles on the bookshelf. Last Week's Manicure

Image
Happy Hump day all! Sorry I haven't spoken to you guys in a little while. I've been doing the "whole30" thang. It's pretty time consuming. As well as sickening lol. I was dizzy/nauseous/depressed as well as a variety of other symptoms the past week. Yes I understand that I was detoxing. I know the detox police were about to say something and I get it. Then I had a horrible pain in my stomach on Monday. I gave up at 11:00 at night and drank some ginger ale. Sorry not sorry. It was then that I realized I need to be good to my body. If something is too much for me it's too much. Everyone's body is different. Maybe this is great for some people and not for others. I had a decaf cappuccino yesterday but followed the eating regimen perfect breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That is my modification. I have no plans on eating bread or pasta or cheese. No snacking at night or in between which has been my biggest victory. I've always been one to nosh. I can'

NEW Centrum® MultiGummies Review

Image
Hi guys. Happy Wednesday all. I am on Day 1 of the Whole30 program. I can't tell you how excited I am to reset my body in the most natural way possible. I'm also a little frightened as some people say in the first week you may have some unpleasant withdrawals (headaches and bloating) as the sugar and gluten are leaving your body. I already have a headache today. I don't know if that is a coincidence or from the diet. I'm still happy. Have a lot of energy. I'm optimistic. I got a head start last night. So the detox might be in process. EEeeek. I even woke up an hour earlier than normal. Had breakfast. Really enjoyed my black coffee with coconut milk. It is allowed on the diet since it's not dairy. Re-organized my linen closet as well as clean up in the kitchen. Bedroom. And I'm roasting sweet potatoes for my after workout recovery meal. I will be catching up on work now. Then doing my cardio. Going to shoot for arm workouts today since my legs are complete

Jingle Vox Box Campaign Reviews

Image
Happy hump day all! I had an interesting night yesterday. I was on the search or hunt more like for 90% off Target items that I had been seeing on my Instagram feed lately. Apparently N.Y stinks and after going to two stores there was literally nothing left. The upside the store looks perfect. New stuff was out and really pretty. But yeah not 90% off. I didn't even find a candle :(. On the upside, I did find three boxes of K-cups that were $3 each as well as a limited edition Starbucks holiday mug for $4.00. That's positive right? I might go to another one this week. I think there are 2 or 3 more Targets here. The Bronx is a huge borough. Well I hope you are all enjoying your days. It is nice and sunny out. I had seen it on Q.V.C for months and was so interested in buying not even knowing what the machine was really c
